About Us
The Rivers Scholars for Sustainable Development Advancement (RSSDA) Network is a dynamic community of over 2,000 alumni of the Rivers State-sponsored scholarship program. From 2007 to 2014, the Rivers State Government, through the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA), provided scholarships to more than 5,000 exceptional students to study STEM-focused courses in top institutions in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Canada, and India. This transformative initiative significantly bolstered the human capital development of the State, equipping a new generation of young people to drive progress.
At the heart of our Network is a shared commitment to giving back and advancing the development vision of Rivers State. Inspired by the opportunities afforded to us, we aim to channel our knowledge, skills, and networks into initiatives that promote sustainable development, empower communities, and foster inclusive growth. United by a common purpose, we work tirelessly to ensure that the seeds of progress planted through the scholarship program continue to yield lasting benefits for our state and beyond.
