The Reality We See:
Getting into a higher institution in Nigeria is not just about passing exams; for too many students, it's about finding the funds to even start. We know that the cost of a university degree goes far beyond the JAMB form—there are tuition fees, accommodation, and upkeep to consider. However, for many brilliant students in our communities, the struggle begins much earlier. The inability to afford the JAMB registration fee often becomes the first "stop sign," causing students to pause their academic dreams, lose momentum, or give up entirely to focus on immediate survival.
Our Intervention:
At the RSSDA Network, we understand that paying for a JAMB form does not solve every financial challenge a student will face. But we also believe that no dream should die at the starting line.
We have launched the Free JAMB/UTME Registration Programme not as a complete solution to the cost of education, but as a vital stepping stone. Our goal is to remove this immediate hurdle so that talented students in Rivers State can at least take their shot at admission without the discouragement of upfront costs. We want to ensure that financial constraints do not stop Rivers youths from even trying.
Who Is This For?
This programme is designed for students who have the desire to learn but need a little help to get started.
Eligibility:
You are eligible if you:
Are a Rivers State student planning to sit for the upcoming JAMB examination.
Have completed or are about to complete secondary school.
Have completed the SSCE examination or are awaiting their results.
Are genuinely interested in gaining admission into a tertiary institution.
